- The (Electric) Scholarship will award one recipient the amount of $1,000.00. The Award amount will be paid directly to the recipient’s college institution or vocational school of the winner’s choice.
- Essays must be submitted between November 1, 2022 – April 15, 2023.

SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

- Applicant must be between the ages of 17 – 29 and looking to advance his or her knowledge in the Electrical Industry, through a college institution or vocational school.
- Applicants must submit at least a three- page double-spaced essay explaining why he/she should be chosen to be the recipient of the Tom Palk Scholarship. Include in your essay your future plans in the Electrical Industry.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and either be on track for graduation from an accredited High School, or have a High School Diploma, or GED. Must reside in Suffolk County.
- The submission should be mailed to SCECA c/o Tom Palk Scholarship, P.O. Box 696 Smithtown, NY. 11787 or email on a Word document or PDF to scecaelect@gmail.com. Must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2023. All submissions must include: Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address, and proof of the above mentioned requirements.
- The application can also be uploaded via the form below.
- The final determination of the winner will be made by May 4, 2023. The winner will be notified by USPS mail or email. The winner must be present at our SCECA June meeting on June 15, 2023 at 7 p.m.
- The winner will be featured in our June edition of our Newsletter “The Light”.
