representative from NYS Dept. of Labor will present a review of
Labor Standards. Topics will include minimum wage, benefits,
hours of work, rest & meal periods and proper documentation
required of employers. |
| IT HAPPENED AT THE LAST MEETING: |

Your Board and Officers were installed at the June General
Meeting.
Our local BOCES students received awards for the Skills USA
contest winners.
All present
enjoyed a hot buffet. |

(#462) would have won a $100 SCECA raffle ticket, had he been
present.

(4) $80 cash prizes were won by Rod Jara, Carlos Velez, Lynn
Blasso and Steve Jacalow.
(3) Ideal utility knives, donated by Glen Karpinos of ELA were won
by Jack Morrell, Lynn Blasso and Lester Gochman.
(1) Tool
bag, donated by Kevin Norris of Yorktown Elec. Supply, was won by
Mike Krug.

that we have enough attendees to go forward with the 10-hr.
OSHA class. Members may contact the chair people, Jack Morell
or Rob Szalay with questions. However, space is limited and
priority will be given to those who have submitted their $75.00
checks, payable to Suffolk County Electrical Contractors
Association. Class is scheduled for Saturday, 7 AM 10/21/06, at
the Electrical Training Center in Lindenhurst. |
