EDITORIAL
Is it Fall
already? The “Summer that wasn’t” is gone. We’ve enjoyed our
“end of Summer” SCECA Picnic, (see encl. photos), and now, a
chill is in the air.
So while you
un-batten the hatches for the hurricane that thankfully missed
us, or bemoan the waning daylight, here’s what’s happening at
SCECA:
Our Website
has been redesigned, and should be available during the month of
October. Our Code Seminars continue, featuring Mr. Ed Rodriguez;
(that’s why our meetings start at 7:00 PM for the next couple of
months). We’re already working on developing and promoting 2004
Vendors’ Night, which will take place on April 14, most probably
at Sports Plus. Future issues of The Light will feature not only
member birthdays, but some background information on our
Officers and Board. You’ll get the opportunity to better know
the folks who represent you.

By the way,
we’re pleased and grateful that most of our advertisers have
renewed their ads. Note that through the courtesy of
member/advertiser Kelly & Noviello, contractors in the NY Metro
area have better than Lotto odds to win a 32” flat screen TV, a
Panasonic promo. (See the enclosed flyer!) K & N can provide a
list of Panasonic stocking distributors; call (631) 643-1100.

Finally, we
received a suggestion to publish photo(s) of a “Violation of the
Month.” To do this, we need your best (worst), on disk, with
great contrast, so it’s not too dark to print. YOU can make this
one work, and give us all a good laugh!

Please be
certain to read our President’s message,
page 5, read the notices on our front cover, and note info.
On NEL’s Expo, page 12.

Saving Time ends Sun., 10/26/03.
