Dear Members,
It’s the
start of a new year; I hope everybody had a happy and healthy
holiday. I’d like to mention a few upcoming events that SCECA
has planned for this year. Our annual Vendors’ Night at the
Sports Plus Complex is April 14, 2004. There will be another
Seminar this spring; Tom Palk will keep up posted on the topic
of the seminar. SCECA also will be hosting is annual Dinner and
Installation Dance; this event is for our members and I hope to
see you attend. Please see Rob Szalay or John McGinn for tickets
and information.
The SCECA
board has been working in cooperation with other organizations
in an effort to form a single electrical license for Nassau
County. We will keep you posted regarding the ongoing efforts in
this process, and hope to see results within this year.
If you need
information, our NEW SCECA web site is up and running. For the
past few months now, the feedback has been great. This site was
redesigned with cutting edge technology, including new and
updated information, on a monthly basis. The newsletter, "The
Light", is available on the site, and our Vendors Sites are
listed. Links include everything from inspection agencies to
other electrical organizations.
SCECA is
there for you; if you have any comments, or need to discuss
something, my phone is always open to you. Please feel free to
call me. We try hard to plan events and programs to benefit our
members, holiday parties and summer picnic events. If you know
of a friend that is not a member, bring him to our next meeting.
