If one more
customer asks if it’s “…cold enough for me…,” I’m leaving, and I
won’t be traveling North! In fact, I’m amazed by the amount and
quality of work we are turning out, despite adverse weather
conditions. (You may have read that these same conditions are
largely to blame for the further delay of the LIE’s HOV, from
Nassau to the Queens line!) Truth be told, I’d rather be
twisting copper than steel re-bar.

We are
pleased to present a message from Mr. Charles Gardner, Director
of Consumer Affairs. It may also be a compliment to note that
only eight consumer complaints were brought against
electricians, specific to electrical work. (As of this printing,
we do not know the disposition of these complaints.)

Within these
pages, please note some interesting and important announcements
from Electrical Inspection Service, LIPA, and of course,
upcoming events from your Association.

One of the
most important of these events is our annual Trade Show –
Vendors’ Night. Enclosed is a double-sided flyer. It can serve
as a reminder, to be placed under your refrigerator magnet, or
given to a vendor who might wish to participate. As always, your
assistance in encouraging vendors to take a table, and your
attendance, will continue to make this a successful event for
all!
