EDITORIAL
Congratulations
to recently elected SCECA Officers and Board members. The
following will be installed at our June General Meeting:
President Michael Towers, 1st V.P. Tom Thomas, 2nd V.P. George
Alevas, Treasurer Michael Krug, Secretary Thomas Palk, Past
Pres. Jack Morrell, and Board members Jason Goetz, David Kennedy
and Joseph Mikulas. We wish them and our entire Board
congratulations.

This segues
perfectly to hearty congratulations and thanks to Jack Morrell.
From a unique perspective of newsletter editor and Past Pres., I
have seen Jack take up the gauntlet and run with it. He leaves
the office in better position than when he began three years
ago. The challenge to his successor, Mike Towers, is to continue
building SCECA and its members. The comfort is that Jack will
serve as Past Pres.

SCECA is
sponsoring our “summer picnic” at a Ducks Game on Sunday, July
18, at 5:00 pm. All current SCECA members may purchase up to
five tickets at $5.00 per person. If you are bringing a stroller
or someone in a wheelchair, PLEASE let us know, so we can obtain
reserved accommodations for your family. Reservations will be
accepted on a first-come, first served basis, so don’t miss out.
Be prepared with check or cash at our June meeting, or mail a
check to our office, ASAP.
