Fathers’ Day will
have passed before this newsletter reaches you. Nonetheless,
it’s never too late to acknowledge Dad and Grand Dad. I hope all
of you who are Dads will have taken the time to celebrate the
day with your loved ones.
Although summer is upon us, most of our Board and Officers are
quite busy dealing with political issues and activities that
will affect our members. It may appear that we have a light
program schedule for the June General Meeting, but it would be a
good idea to join us for an update. Although the Board meets in
July and August, our next General Meeting is scheduled for the
third week in September.
We hope all of you have a busy, productive and safe summer.
Should you have questions or need assistance, our office is open
and the website capable of receiving email. We may be contacting
you via email, should a time-sensitive situation arise.
We hope you will have checked out the SCECA ad in Newsday; it
appears on Friday, in the Home Improvement section. Should you
have suggestions for catchy phrases, please let us know.
Please be sure to mark your calendar for August 17, our annual
SCECA Picnic at Heckscher Park. Details are enclosed.
Finally, we are proud to present photos of our April 2008
Vendors Night Trade Show. If we missed your picture, just notify
us. We will make every effort to include it in a future issue of
“The Light.”
