MEETING NOTICE

  DATE: Thursday, April 15, 2004

PLACE: Sports Plus (Vendors Night)

Come visit with trade representatives & manufacturers’ reps; see the latest tools, equipment and support items to make your business work more smoothly. These vendors will have trade specials as well as wonderful prizes for our raffles. There will be something for everyone, even the kids. (Sports Plus tokens will be available for rides, games, etc.)
IT HAPPENED AT THE LAST MEETING:
Company founder Alfred Roach and Chief engineer Nisar Chaudry of TII Network Technologies presented a program on “Lightning, related damage, surge & transient fundamentals, etc. The presentation was both technical and comprehensive. Members attending received a complimentary CATV surge protector.

LIPA’s Jim Domozych distributed Redbook revisions illustrating correct gas and electric meter clearances. Suffolk Electrical Licensing Board member Michael Towers confirmed that the County requires a Master electrical license for the installation of Solar Power equipment.

ATTENDANCE AWARD:
$100.00 would have gone to Ed Kremmelbein, member #295, had he been present at the meeting. (Winner must be present and dues current, to collect the award.)
DARK HORSE & PRIZES:

* (4) $75 prizes were won by Tony Bernardo, Mahesh Panchal, George Alevas and Tom Thomas.
* (1) UF stripper, donated by Ideal, was won by Steve Dlugolonski.
* (1) hacksaw, donated by Ideal, was won by Ben Bendikisson.
* (1) tape measure, donated by Ideal, was won by John McGinn.
* (1) 100 Amp panel, donated by Murray, was won by Mike Krug.
* (1) Business Analysis, donated by Ceschini CPA & Consulting, was won by Fred Barsch.
* (2) Smart Box sample cases, donated by Greg Herth, were won by Mike Janowitz and John McGinn.
* (3) books, Fire in my Belly, by Alfred roach, were won by Mat Nemschick, Ralph Vignola and John McGinn.

NOTE: Chair Michael Towers wishes to announce that nominations for Board & Officers will continue to be accepted up to election night at the May General Meeting.
