EDITORIAL
Is this an April Fools' joke by Mother Nature? In March's
newsletter, I pondered whether winter had come to an end, but I
guess "She" had other ideas. But as I pound the computer keys,
the weather forecast is for a significant wintry mix. Yes, I
have scheduled to wire a hot tub, so it figures.
All foolin'
aside, we have a great program featured for our April General
Meeting. Our attorney, Rob Ibraham, has arranged for a
presentation by former NYC Fire Marshal Robert Wisniewski. Mr.
Wisniewski is now a fire investigator. His expertise should
provide us with new insight in performing our job
responsibilities. By the way, Rob also sent an interesting
article on Title Insurance.
As always, we're
pleased to share news regarding our brothers from the Nassau
League. You will find details regarding their annual
Installation Dinner Dance in this issue of The Light. Special
thanks to NEL is also in order for the disk with photos of the
VICA electrical trade contest.
Please read the
update from Director of Suffolk County Department of Consumer
Affairs, Mr. Charles Gardner.
This issue
should contain something for everyone, so happy reading! What's
more, this General Meeting should also be quite interesting.
Don't let rain or hail or sleet or snow hold you back; be there!
Vendors' Night
Trade Show photos will be featured in our May issue; thanks to
all for your support.
