EDITORIAL
When we encounter an undesirable
experience, we wish time to pass as quickly as possible.
However, it seems the passing of time goes quickly only when
we’re having a good time. The “ugly” job, nasty weather,
traffic, fuel prices, family illness, all seem to be prolonged.
I hope this summer brought you the good jobs, health and family
fun you wished for. Unfortunately, we don’t realize we were in
the “good old days” until they’re in the past.
We’re back for a new SCECA season, kicked off with our annual
picnic at Heckscher State Park. Special thanks to John McGinn,
Lester Gochman and Kevin MacLeod for their work in organizing
the event.
Yes, gas is out of control, but together, we can help influence
some control over things that influence our business and our
industry. Please plan to get involved; it will be well worth
your dues and fuel to attend our meetings.
Your elected Board and Officers are planning pertinent programs,
seminars, member services and social events. The Business
Seminar, Chaired by Tom Palk, is scheduled for October 15.
Details will be found in the newsletter and on our website.
We make an open invitation/request to provide your editor with
electrical stories, technical or otherwise.
