It was refreshing to see so many new (and old) faces at SCECA’s
recent Vendors Night Trade Show. Rest assured, putting together
this event takes much planning and many hours. We wish to
acknowledge the efforts of Chair Steve Nerwinski and his staff.
I especially enjoy chatting with the folks who represent various
manufacturers. It was great to see retiree Hugh Gorman, wearing
his trade-mark shirt and smile.
What really speaks volumes however, is the “cameo” appearance of
many past SCECA Presidents. Yes, five of them currently serve on
our Board, but we saw John Coslick, Vern Havens, John Lademann
and Don McCarthy. Their very presence is a lesson in history and
dedication to SCECA. They still support and believe in our
Association; their attending this event sends a message to all
of us. Thanks for coming out gentlemen; it was a pleasure to be
part of the “photo op” with you!
As our deadline approaches, we are doing our best to include
Trade Show photos and the list of prize winners in this issue of
The Light. If we miss this issue, be assured these items will
appear in the June issue.
