printed in March & April editions of The Light,
and voted at the April General Membership Meeting, by current

ARTICLE XXI. Elections,
Nominations, and Voting
Section 1.
Elections shall be held once a year at the May General
Meeting, to fill the various positions of both Officer and Board
Members whose terms are set to expire that year. All newly
elected or re-elected Officer and or Board Members will be sworn
in at the June General Meeting commonly called the “Installation
Dinner” meeting.
Section 2.
Nominations for positions to be voted upon at the May
General Meeting will be made any time before and up to the April
General Meeting upon which at the conclusion of business at that
meeting, the nominating process will be “closed”. Nominations
for those positions may be made in one of two ways; by
recommendation of the nominating committee or from the floor or
both. Each nomination must be seconded by another member. Each
candidate will be given the opportunity to present their
qualifications to the membership for the positions they seek at
the April General meeting and again at the May General Meeting
prior to the vote, if they so desire.
Section 3.
Voting to elect a person for each position, will be in
accordance with Constitutional Art. IV Sec. 7 and by majority
vote of those members present at the May General Meeting. Voting
shall be conducted by ballot only. No proxy votes shall be
permitted. If only one member is nominated for a position and
considered “unopposed” the chairman of the nominating committee
shall ask the Secretary to cast one vote for that nominee to
consider that person elected to that position.
These amendments shall take effect
immediately upon ratification.

ARTICLE IV. MEMBERSHIP
Section 4. Associate
Member – An Associate Member shall be
defined as any individual person representing public utility
companies, governmental regulatory bodies, recognized inspection
agency, any person, firms or corporations actively engaged in
any branch of the electrical industry other than active members.
Associate members shall have all the rights and privileges of
the Association except the right to vote and the Death
Benefit .
Section 5. Honorary
Member – An Honorary Member shall be
an individual person who shall be elected by a unanimous vote of
the Officers and Board of Directors and two thirds of the
remaining members present at a regular meeting. The Honorary
Member is chosen in recognition of service to the electrical
industry in pursuance of the objects of this corporation.
Honorary Members shall not have the right to vote or the
Death Benefit .
