EDITORIAL
In an Asian
language, (I believe it is Japanese), the word for danger also
means opportunity. Most of us would be hard-pressed to find
opportunity in today’s market conditions. During a recent
business dialogue, a colleague used the words, “dead in the
water.” There are contractors who are working. Some have scaled
back on projects; others are doing more “jobbing.” As I have
encouraged our readers in past editorials, come on out to a
meeting and network. Note: SCECA General Meetings now start
at 7 pm. While you’re at it, plan on attending our Vendors’
Night Trade Show. (It’s at the Huntington Hilton on April 27,
from 4 pm – 9 pm.) You may get some new ideas and meet some
folks that can help you jump start your business.
In this issue of The Light, please note announcements for SCECA
Seminars. There is limited space for classes on NFPA 70E and
Article 250. You can call the office for information on seminars
and the Trade Show, at 631-361-7474.

We’re including
some interesting photos that will probably make you smile and
shake your head. It’s like Forest Gump said in the movie, “It
happens.” Check it out and perhaps send one of your own.

We are planning
our annual picnic at a Ducks baseball game. More details will be
provided at the General Meeting and in upcoming newsletters.
Brighter days are coming!
