June Issue

EDITORIAL

If we were to attempt to reduce this editorial message to one word, it would be remember. Alas, there’s always way too much to remember, so here’s the “short list:”

Please remember to attend our last SCECA meeting, so you can vote on proposed Constitution & By-laws changes. Don’t forget that June 21st is Fathers’ Day. Also, please remember to thank SCECA’s advertisers and supporters. An added note of thanks & congratulations to those on “both sides of the table,” who made our Vendors’ Night Trade Show a success would be in order. (Founder Bill Gubing must have sent us some good fortune.) It’s never “out of season” to remember a US veteran, even as D Day will have preceded this newsletter. Finally, remember that although there are no SCECA General Meetings in July and August, your Officers and Board will meet and be working on agenda and items of member concern. If you need us, refer to the newsletter directory or call our office.

With regard to “C & B” changes, very significant changes in our Constitution and By-laws have been proposed. These changes will affect how the Association is run, and you, our General Members will influence future decisions. As Light editor, Past-pres. and SCECA Life member, I believe in a system of “checks and balances.” Only your attendance and vote on these changes will insure that your concerns are addressed.
