Dear
Members,
This being
our last newsletter before our summer break, I have a few things
I'd to address as my first year as president comes to an end.
First and foremost, I would like to thank our out going
secretary, Joe Mikulas. Joe was always available any time I
needed him. Joe your help was invaluable to me; thank you. I
would like to thank the membership for their vote of confidence
for a second term. In many ways, the first year seems like a
hundred years ago, with the many challenges we had over the past
year. But as I'm writing this letter, it seems like last year’s
election was just yesterday (go figure). With all that is going
on at the county level and at all the towns, this year seems no
less challenging than the past. We will be needing the
membership to come and support issues more than ever before.
Thanks to the diligent job Kevin MacLeod did on the e-mail alert
system, we will be able to notify the membership in large
numbers with short notice to past along any information that is
needed.
Congratulations to Tom Palk on his election to become secretary.
I would like to thank all of the officers and board members for
their time and commitments over the past year, and offer
congratulations on being elected to another term.
I want to thank all the members for their attendance at the
General Meetings. We were very happy with the turn out at the
General meeting and hope the trend continues. We are looking to
do more on the NEC code and town requirements, with all the
inspectors and teachers at the general meetings starting in
September. As always, your input is wanted and needed for any
ideas or suggestions for upcoming meetings. Last, our meetings
would not be what they are without all of the Inspectors and
agencies, including LIPA-National Grid representatives, our
Attorney, Insurance agent and all our Advertisers. Your presence
and knowledge is greatly appreciated.
Very truly
yours,
Jack Morrell
President.
