EDITORIAL
A note of gratitude is in order to
those who took time from their busy schedule to attend the May
General meeting and vote for your SCECA Officers and Board. The
time these members volunteer at Board Meetings and performing
SCECA business is most valuable to all of us.
With this thought in mind, we will close out another “SCECA
season” at our June General Meeting. Suffolk County’s Office of
Consumer Affairs Licensing Director William Baessler will do a
brief program, and swear in Board and Officers. In addition,
SCECA will present the Suffolk VICA contest winners with an
award and certificate. These ceremonies will fittingly commend
our present and perhaps future leaders of our industry here in
Suffolk, and perhaps Long Island as well. Finally, we will honor
our twenty-five year SCECA members with a plaque.
On behalf of the Board and Officers, we wish you and yours a
happy, healthy, safe and prosperous summer. We do hope to see
you for the SCECA summer outing at
Splish
Splash in July, and the end-of-summer
picnic
at Heckscher Park in September. Information for these events and
the SCECA raffle can be found in "The Light," or on our website.
We make a final invitation/request to provide your editor with
electrical stories, technical or otherwise.
