TIME:
  7:30 PM, SHARP
PLACE:
THE HOLIDAY INN
          3845 Veterans Hwy.
          Ronkonkoma, NY 11779
          (631 585-9500)
PROGRAM:

Robert Szalay 643-5800

*Empire Electric will present a 10-minute Power point program on Photovoltaics at the June general Meeting.  A display will also be featured, with a question & answer session.

*Suffolk VICA contest winners Robert Scaturro, (1st place) Jeremy Davidson, (2nd place) and Jarett McCarthy,(3rd place),  will receive their awards.

*Past President Michael Towers will continue a two-part program on the NYS Building Code and how it applies to Electrical Contractors.  Most of us have become painfully aware that our work requirements can be influenced by “other” outside jurisdictions and requirements, in addition to the “current” National Electric Code and LIPA’s Redbook.  It’s always best to be familiar with these requirements prior to bidding and job start.  This program may save you aggravation as well as your job profit!

IT HAPPENED AT THE LAST MEETING:

*Our own Michael Towers began his two-part program on the NYS Building Code.

*Myra of Greenlee Tools hosted a display and “repair shop” at the May General Meeting.

*LIPA’s Brian Fitzgerald helped clarify some Redbook concerns as well as answer some members’ questions; Gary Abrahamson distributed new “approved meter” lists.

ATTENDANCE AWARD:

Victor Gutilla of Broan Nutone would have won $100.  (Sorry Vic, we know you’re usually there!)

$100 can be yours at our next meeting! (Winner must be present and dues current, to collect the award, If your name is drawn.)
