LIPA/NATIONAL GRID:

At
our December General Meeting, Gary Abrahamsen reported that
there were service outages in Massachusetts, so a lot of the
construction crew and planners was sent there from this area.
This is why a lot of inspections were delayed. They were
returning to LI as of December 18. SCECA Pres. Jack Morrell
thanked the representatives from LIPA for their support at our
meetings throughout the years. Those present included Gary
Abrahamsen, Joe Iannucci and Mark Cerqueira.

HOW CAN I HELP MY CLIENTS GROW THEIR BUSINESS?
: : :
At the end of each year I like to
reflect on what I have helped my clients accomplish and what I
can do to make them more successful. After reflecting on 2008 I
realize that they need, and are currently looking for, more than
just marketing to help grow their businesses. I say the word
need and not want as the two are often confused. The
distinction that I make between the two is as follows: the word
need implies something that we must have to
achieve a result, whereas the word want represents
the desire to have something. For those of you who are not
clear on what we do at the PRstore, we create marketing
strategies for small to medium sized companies who need
or want to grow their business. We help
our clients with creative strategies and plans that will build
their brand and convey to their existing clients and prospects
what they are best at.
As I work with my clients I
have realized a common thread that holds them all together.
Although each client has specific needs they all have
commonalities as well- they need more than just a consistent
look and feel, they need more than a focused message, and they
need something that is going to push them to the next level.
The answer is sales training. Up until now I have left this out
of my marketing plans and strategies for clients, and it could
be one of the most essential of all elements. If your business
is looking to increase sales, build client relations, add new
clients and close more deals; you need to sell better. Your
marketing efforts will absolutely help this, but your marketing
and sales departments need to be on the same page and working as
a team. Once you have achieved this goal, then and only then,
will you see the results that you are looking for- Increased
Sales! This year I will continue to coordinate your marketing
and sales effort as a unit to help push you to the next
level.
