EDITORIAL
Are you or your employees in
the process of cleaning and organizing your truck(s) and shop?
That can mean only one thing; we’re in the February doldrums. As
I recently explained an electrical contractor’s lament to a
friend, when we have surplus funds to put toward our own home
projects, we often don’t have the time. The opposite is true
when we do have the time.
Well I hope you do have the time and funds to invest in your own
business:
The segue here is that Pres. Jack Morrell is spearheading
another OSHA class in the next few months. Details will be
published as they become available. In addition, Seminar Chair
Tom Palk has scheduled an NEC Code Seminar covering 2002 & 2005;
see flier in this newsletter. Jack has also mentioned that a CPR
Certification course will again be offered, subject to member
interest.

Many of us experience the
“feast or famine phenomenon” with regard to work. This
newsletter is a feast. We have articles contributed by Sal
Ferrara of Electrical Training Center, Jerry Flaherty of
Electrical Inspection Service of E. Patchogue, Jim Smith of NY
Board of Fire Underwriters, Stuart Sinclair, CPA, and our SCECA
Attorney, Jessica Schubert Nogara. We trust the articles will be
of interest, and hope the “bonanza” of contributions continues
in March.

our seminar, and the Vendors’ Night Trade Show, scheduled for
