February Issue

ATTENTION ALL ELECTRICAL INSPECTORS : : :

Each of you probably sees some “repetitive errors” in your travels.  We wish to publish these, with or without names.  It is our hope that some of these errors/violations can be avoided.  Code may be referenced if you wish.  This forum can serve both the contractor and the inspector, making our respective jobs a bit easier.  Thank you!

We have word that we may soon receive a “top ten” violation list from LIPA.  Watch this space for more details.

TAX TIPS FOR ELECTRICIANS

Stuart A. Sinclair, CPA
(516) 935-2086

For 2006, 2007 and 2008, the Federal Estate Tax exclusion amount remains at $2,000,000.  For 2009, it is scheduled to go up to $3,500,00.  For 2010, the federal estate tax would be eliminated for one year only.  Will the Democratic Congress stick to this schedule?  Stay tuned for further details.

As always, we recommend that any questions regarding accounting and taxes be directed to Stuart.
