February is upon
us, but I hope “Old Man Winter” doesn’t even up the score
this month. If he does, I expect that’s when the outside “must
do now” work will hit. We can’t control the outside temperature,
but the Holiday Inn should be toasty as ever for our February
General Meeting. This being February, I hope you didn’t
forget your Valentine.
If you’ve managed to catch “cabin fever” despite the mild
weather, this month’s meeting program will feature some
“hands-on” experience with proper termination of Cat 5 wire.
(See page 3 for details.) In the centerfold, you’ll find
applications for our upcoming Seminar and Trade Show.
By the time you receive this newsletter, Super Bowl XL will be
history. Perhaps you’ll be looking forward to watching the
Winter Olympics. It’s a bit early to think about baseball,
except for spring training, but wait: The idea of a SCECA outing
to enjoy our own LI Ducks was brought up at this past Board
Meeting. Details will follow, but the “window” to purchase
tickets is a small one. This promises to be a fun-filled outing
for the entire family. Group rates will apply, so the cost
should be significantly less than a trip to Yankee or Shea
Stadium. If you have any interest in this venue, please let us
know. Contact our recording secretary at the General Meeting, or
leave a message at the SCECA Office by calling (631) 361-7474.
Let’s look forward to a great group outing.
