EDITORIAL
As I compose this
editorial, it’s freezing outside but the forecast is for
near-fifty degree temperature this weekend. You’re probably
wondering why that couldn’t have happened when you or your help
froze doing outside work earlier this week. (So am I.) We’ve
read in baseball news that pitchers and catchers will soon be
returning for spring training; our SCECA Season heats up as
well:

We have a
newly-designed promotion, (developed by the PR Store) for our
Vendors’ Night Trade Show. The event is scheduled for April
27 at the Huntington Hilton. In addition, there are two very
relevant seminars being offered for SCECA members and their
help. The first, NFPA 70 E (Arc-flash), will be held at
Mid Island Electric Supply on March 25. It will be followed
closely by NEC Article 250/Soares Grounding Part II, on
March 28. In between, LIPA will be conducting Redbook Seminars.
(See this newsletter for specific details on all classes.)

As we hope for an
economic recovery plan to work its way to NY and Long Island, we
must be ready. As opportunities crop up, we’ll continue to keep
our members apprised. However, your meeting attendance and
pursuit of networking opportunities is strongly advised. You may
come away from a SCECA General Meeting with a great door prize
or perhaps some cold cash, but it’s the available knowledge that
will best serve you and your business. Our February and March
meetings will feature presentations on NEC, so try to be there.
You may need to “bundle up,” but we hope you’ll leave with a
couple of “hot ideas.”
