| TAX TIPS FOR
ELECTRICIANS:
: : |
Stuart A. Sinclair,
CPA (516) 935-2086 |
Taxpayers have the option of
deducting either their sales tax or their state and local tax on
their tax returns, whichever
is higher. Taxpayers may determine the amount of their sales
tax deduction either by using the actual tax paid (saving
receipts), or by using a chart issued by the Internal Revenue
Service which may be increased by sales tax paid on major
purchases such as a car or boat. This deduction expires
12/31/07.
As always, we recommend that
any questions regarding accounting or taxes be directed to
Stuart.
