EDITORIAL
Some of you may
recall (or have a copy of) what was called “The OSHA Cowboy.”
The cartoon gave us a good laugh as we realized that the cowboy
could not perform his job while fully attired as required. Well,
your editor recently attended the SCECA-sponsored Arc Flash
Seminar, based on NFPA 70 E. It was quite an eye opener! There
is something to be said in favor of wearing cotton work
clothing. However, that only touches the “tip of the iceberg.”
When you see graphic video of faults and the injuries to human
beings, there is much to support education and proper protection
of personnel. It gives new meaning to the advice, “Don’t be
caught short!”

article on grounding CSST, and as we go to press, we may be able
to include “The Inspectors’ Corner” by Robert Ceriello.
